Bring your own boat, borrow one of ours, go out on a fishing charter from Oakura, fish off the rocks (the couple holding the snapper in the sunset caught them off the rocks at Rawhiti) spear a flounder in the harbour or catch an eel in the creek.
There is no meal any tastier than the fish you catch yourself.
