Welcome to The Farm!
The Farm is a 1000-acre campsite and events venue 1 hour north of Whangarei. For over 20 years we’ve been sharing our family home with friends, travellers and volunteers from all over the world who have helped make The Farm what it is today. Our place is a beautiful getaway for anyone treasuring harmony, connection, creativity and joy in the lap of mother nature.
It all started when…
…26 (ish) years ago a horse trainer fell in love with her vet. Together they set out to create a working dairy farm with the help of volunteers from all over the world. What has grown as a result is The Farm. A place where shared enthusiasm and individual passions have the space to flourish.
Since 1998 we’ve been hosting events, educating children and young adults about the outdoors environment through adventure and exploration, as well as operating as a working farm and campground. At The Farm you will be received with open arms and hearts into a warm and homely atmosphere, no matter who you are or where you come from.

Camp at The Farm
Camping is now located at both The Hangar and the main house! The Hangar is a giant solar powered lounge room in the middle of nowhere. Setup camp on the front lawn (AKA the airstrip) and enjoy the space and freedom this awesome new space provides. Don’t forget your skateboard!
Things to do
See the Northland countryside at its best with horse treks, motorbike and kayak rentals. Enjoy the surf or unwind with a yoga session.
